We the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Cotton City presenting, "Chithira Vannam"- Phase 5 - a fundraiser initiative by portraiting artworks. The collection of fund will be useful to serve the needy people. Here artworks like pencil sketch, pencil carvings, popcubes, wall hangings, doodle art etc. will done by our teammates. We have received one order of pencil carving for this month which was done by our teammate Rtr. Dhivya priya . The customer was blissful after receiving the orders. We received a fund of Rs.180 from this order. So far we collected Rs.1210 as fundraiser. We will use those amount on our upcoming community service projects. We are still excited to receive the orders.

SUVADI
We feel so much delighted in completing an event , "SUVADI" - book distribution for school children's. In this event, our club members visited PUMS SCHOOL at THUDIYALUR and distributed the books to the school children's .This books were not like their Acedamic book it was completely different and mainly focuses to improve their reading skills, creativity and other skills. The children's were so happy & we have planned to provide some more books. It was really a great one to educating the kids.
SWASTHA - Nearly 40 donors collectively has enrolled in the donation which includes Rotarians , Rotaractors and general public. Counselling also was given by the incharge doctor of the blood bank about organ donation in which may of the clarifications were given and doubts of the donors also cleared. His speech was so informative that would clear the fear of the donors. Certificates and donor cards were given for the donors. On the whole , This event has been really met its goal of
introducing donors of blood and organ.

We have received one order of drawing for this month which was done by our teammate Rtr. Kavipriya. The customer was blissful after receiving theorders. We received a fund of ₹860 so far from this project. We donated this fund to the orphanages. We are still excited to receive the orders.

We organized a fundraiser event "சித்திர வண்ணம்"- Phase 1, an event where we portrait artworks like pencil sketch, pencil carvings, popcubes, wall hangings, doodle art etc. will done by our teammates from 25/08/2022 to 31/08/2022. The Event Chairman was Rtr.Keerthana Shamidha and Event Secretary was Rtr.Elakkiya. In this event, we started sharing google forms where we get responses from customers then we will reach out them for their portraits. The collection of fund will be useful to serve the needy people.We have received two orders of pencil carvings which was done by our teammate Rtr. Dhivyapriya. The customer was blissful after receiving the orders. We received a fund of 360 rupees from this orders. We donate this fund to the people of old age home where we provide refreshments and spend some valuable time with them.We are still excited to receive the orders.
AVAL ORU THODARKATHAI - PHASE 1 VILITHIRU
We planned to conduct a series of program along with transgenders in the name of Aval oru thodarkathai.we started our first phase in the name of Vilithiru. We donated plant saplings to the public and transgenders as an encouragement towards their first step of conserving environment. Followed by the awareness on environment conservation, how to prevent us from corona virus and the importance of road safety along with the people of Transmom Foundation. We explained the importance of all these to the people who were waiting in the signal at Gandhipuram. Many of our club members and transgenders who had concern for society had participated actively in this program. We divided among ourselves as group of five along with the transgenders and stood in each signal with the placards containing different awareness quotes related to road safety, environment and coronavirus prevention and presented it to the people in the signal. In accordance with this, the plant saplings was also donated to the people who followed the rules like wearing helmet, wearing seat belts, wearing mask and those who stop the engine of his/her vehicle during the signal. Nearly 50+ saplings were given to the people who are concerned about the society and themselves. This awareness program has been conducted from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm.The event has been covered by media and shared in various websites and social media platforms which also created awareness on people in yet another way.
PORPATHAM
"Call that a gift to needy men thou dost dispense,
All else is void of good, seeking for recompense."
The real survivors or homeless around the city not just need food, but every little thing is essential. It is hard to see so many people in outside walking without footwear since they were not able to afford it. With that in mind, we comes up with a PORPATHAM ( Let someone walk without fear) . This project is an initiative to provide footwears to the needy people. So far we have distributed 23 footwears covering 2 major districts Kallakurichi and Coimbatore. It is an ongoing project which we planned to continue in different phases with different needs. We also made this event as a surprise platform to surprise our loved ones by funding for footwear donation. Two people showed their interest and surprised their loved ones by funding. We got so many blessings from the people and they thanked us from the bottom of their heart for starting this needful initiative.
RAKSHA
Rotaract District Organisation 2021-2022 in collaboration with the Coimbatore City Police and Thulasi Pharmacies have initiatived Raksha. The inauguration of the Raksha happened on 21 October 2021 at Commisioner office, Coimbatore. Followed by first aid training to more than 100 policemen by Dr.Saravanan, Chairman, First Heart Foundations Network. In this event, nearly 40 First aid kits were handed over to 20 clubs. We, the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Cotton City have placed the first aid kits safely at Ganapathy Main Bus Stand and Textool Signal on 26th October 2021. The kits have been placed at nearby shops due to safety concerns and interacted with traffic police. We assure to take better care of the kits regularly.
AVAL ORU THODARKATHAI - PHASE 2 ANBU
ANBU - Phase 2 of Aval oru Thodarkadhai is the event of felicitating the transmom foundation for their co-operation and support with the necessary household groceries. This wasn't possible without the support of our members who helped by providing the things and amount for making this happened. After collecting the things , we went to their place and showed our gratitude by giving them the things. All groceries we provided were highly useful for their mess. They were extremely happy to be thanked and it is also a cherishable moment for us in making them happy.
