Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Cotton City has started its most likely project, " EPISODE" - For Your Information. The main objective of the event is to know how to segregate daily waste? how to prepare manure? and how to operate air machines at petrol bank. To be precise, gathering professional information from public and serving at your desk. We believe that publishing various professional ideas in instagram that serves useful to everyone in our day-to- day lives.
IMPACT DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
The XIV Rotaract District Assembly "IMPACT" was held on 18 July, 2021. The three individual development sessions about Rotaract and its impact in life were very much productive. PDRR Rtr. Phoenix Maclaren gave a brief understanding on rotaract, Rtr. PP. Gopal Krishnan provided a knowledge on social media and PDRR Rtn. Dev Anand, briefed about rotaract and its impact in life. As the name IMPACT states, every session was unique and created an impact in everyone.
AFFORESTATION
“The forest is not a resource for us, it is life itself. It is the only place for us to live”. The speaker meeting on Afforestation was organised by our Parent Rotary, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Cotton City on 04th July 2021. The speaker of the day, Mr. Deepak Srivastav(IFS), gave an interesting speech about forest conservation and his working experience as IFS officer. From this event, we gained knowledge on how to conserve the forest resources. Through this we learned the information about plantation. Ultimately, this gave an intense knowledge on conserving forest and other resources.
LEARN THE ROPES
“Learn the ropes” was a workshop wherein all the essentials to own a professional LinkedIn account were taught. The trainer PDRR Rtn. Arun Parasuraman was very much enthusiastic and encouraged indulging in two way communication rather than a teaching session. The session went on with a speed that every participant could grab the things said. The session lasted for 2 hours and attendees came out with ideas of creating and maintaining a LinkedIn .
VELLI THIRAI
We lively engaging and our very first Knowledge transfer session on cinema named "VELLI THIRAI" . The complete one hour had lot of fun talks ranging from movie discussion to technologies to cinema quiz. One enthralling part was quiz which was based on minimalist cinema posters(the actual theme underlying was to make people aware of movies adapted from books).Following the quiz was movie discussion in which the audience/members was made to chose any genre of interest and discuss about a film belonging to that genre. With loads of cinematic talks ,we actually felt like filling up tummy with popcorn thereby justifying the name "Vellithirai".
TACKLE
We feel so much delighted in completing an event ,"TACKLE" -Time management session. The session was handled by Certified District Trainer Rtr.PP.Anjana. Time isn't the main thing, its the only thing. In this session, Our Club members got clear view about tackling the distraction on our works and how to manage time for our day to day activities. We were inculcated with the knowledge on never losing time through this session. We also got some tips to handle our Carrier, Academics and Rotaract activities
